European Tour – The Netherlands 8th to 13th October

After George and JJ collected the Land Rover from some very helpful mechanics at Terlouw Land Rover they could start the Netherlands leg of the tour which took us to all corners of the country. We made 6 enjoyable stops in Wageningen, Musselkanaal, Eindhoven, Pijnacker, Spakenburg and Ijmuiden. Thank you to all the venues who made us feel so welcome and put on great events.

JJ, who’s day to day roll at the distillery is looking after the precious Kilchoman malt and watching over production in the still house, was enjoying turning his hand to making our Machir Bay Old Fashioned and telling tales of Islay to the Kilchoman fans in The Netherlands. JJ however wasn’t always the best navigator, at one point looking the wrong way at a roundabout and commenting ‘aye, all looks good’, luckily George looked the correct way (the left!).

Shipments to the UK

All shipments to the UK are sold inclusive of UK VAT and duties. The total cost you see at checkout includes all applicable taxes and fees, so you will not be asked to pay any additional charges upon delivery.

Shipments to the EU

For orders being shipped to the EU, local VAT will be calculated during checkout. These shipments are sent using a Duties and Taxes Paid (DDP) service, meaning no additional charges will be due upon delivery.

If you are contacted by our courier requesting payment, please disregard the message and do not make any payment. Instead, contact us directly and we will work with the courier to resolve the issue.

*Please note exception of Estonia and Finland which are shipped on a tax and duties unpaid service. Please see more guidance below.

Shipments Outside the UK and EU

Orders shipped to locations outside the UK and EU are dispatched on a tax and duties unpaid service. This means that any applicable taxes, duties, and fees will need to be paid directly to customs prior to delivery. These charges are not collected at checkout.
