OUR 100% ISLAY PHILOSOPHY

With the imminent arrival of our 7th Edition 100% Islay it would seem a good time to explain our 100% Islay philosophy. For us, the 100% Islay ethos is about replicating the grass root traditions of farm distilling both in Scotland but especially on Islay. From the very birth of Kilchoman, our 100% Islay range was our reason for being; it represented the revival of single malt whisky produced on a single location from barley to bottle, where the responsibility for the quality and consistency at each stage was not outsourced but completed on site with skill, care and attention to detail. We are proud to be the only Islay distillery distilling single malt from barley both grown and malted on Islay. Not to mention distilling, maturing and bottling it here at Kilchoman as well. Shipments to the UK

All shipments to the UK are sold inclusive of UK VAT and duties. The total cost you see at checkout includes all applicable taxes and fees, so you will not be asked to pay any additional charges upon delivery.

Shipments to the EU

For orders being shipped to the EU, local VAT will be calculated during checkout. These shipments are sent using a Duties and Taxes Paid (DDP) service, meaning no additional charges will be due upon delivery.

If you are contacted by our courier requesting payment, please disregard the message and do not make any payment. Instead, contact us directly and we will work with the courier to resolve the issue.

*Please note exception of Estonia and Finland which are shipped on a tax and duties unpaid service. Please see more guidance below.

Shipments Outside the UK and EU

Orders shipped to locations outside the UK and EU are dispatched on a tax and duties unpaid service. This means that any applicable taxes, duties, and fees will need to be paid directly to customs prior to delivery. These charges are not collected at checkout.

We recommend checking with your local authorities for guidance on the specific costs and requirements for your region.
