Islay Beach Rugby Champions 2014
June 9, 2014The annual beach rugby tournament took place on Islay last Saturday on the beach at Port Ellen. It was a beautiful day on Islay (as always) and there were more than a few red faces by the end of the day. We were keen to win back the title we won a few years ago and took on Oban in the final with 4 of the Kilchoman team on the pitch – James Wills, George Wills, Peter Wills and Jamie Wells. We were up 6 – 1 at half time and ran out 7 – 4 winners to lift the cup for the second time! Congratulations to the team and a special mention to Russell Nimmo who was named player of the tournament as well.
