Whisky Live ! Japan - Sunday 21st of February

Anthony attended Whisky Live! on Sunday where over 5,500 people attend during the day and he held two masterclasses.  Over 100 people joined each masteclass and the following expressions were tasted - New Spirit, 3 year old single bourbon cask (bottled for Whisky Live! Japan), 3 year old single cask bourbon cask( bottled for Isetan Department Stores), 3 year old single cask( oloroso sherry hogshead) and the 2009 Autumn Release.

Kilchoman was the only distillery to do two masterclasses because of the number of people who expressed an interest in advance.

Whisky Fair, Osaka - Tuesday 23rd of February

Early on Tuesday morning Anthony and company took the bullet train south of Tokyo to Osaka.  It's a shame the trains in the UK don't run so efficiently!

500 people attended and Anthony held another seminar for over 100 people and showed the 2009 Autumn Release.  At the fair the last bottle of Autumn Release allocated to Japan was sold!  It's fortunate the next release is due out in a month.....

On Wednesday Anthony and company will be heading west to Okayama for another fair and then back to Tokyo, before Anthony jumps on a plane on Thursday for Taipei, Taiwan, to launch the Autumn Release at a Press and Trade Day organised by Kilchoman's recently appointed importer , Sun Favorite & Co Ltd.
