The Bottling of the Inaugural release took place on Monday the 31st of August 2009.
The malt was matured for between 2.5 Years to 3 Years in fresh bourbon barrels before being finished in fresh oloroso sherry butts for a further 6 months. The malt was vatted and reduced to 46% on Islay before being delivered to Houston bottling company in Dumbarton.
It will be available from the 10th of September in a select number of whisky retailers in the UK and 13 other markets worldwide.
This year we are going to be able to dry our barley on Islay rather than hauling it to the mainland.
Andrew and Neil Wood have installed barley drying equipment on their farm at Octofad.

This years barley should be harvested in a week or so if the rain stops for a few days.

We are transferring whisky that has matured in fresh and refill bourbon barrels into fresh oloroso sherry butts for a few months, which the distillery is hoping to release in November.
The launch party was a huge success. The sun was shining, delicious food, everyone was in fine spirits and a fantastic single malt....... perfect!.jpg)
